The plates in the combustion chamber are made of skamol (Vermiculite). They withstand great heat and insulate effectively. This ensures both optimal temperature and optimal combustion in the combustion chamber. But they are a bit fragile. If you put too much firewood or too large pieces of wood into the firebox, it is easy to break the top plate in particular. In other words, if you fire with real firewood, make sure you buy firewood that can relatively easily be in the firebox without touching the top plate. Or fire with briquettes instead. Briquettes expand when they burn. If you have put a lot of briquettes in the firebox, it can therefore happen that, where there was enough space to begin with, they suddenly squeeze against the sides.
You can buy firewood in small and large portions in most supermarkets, e.g. Brugsen in Gedser. If you are mostly going to fire for "hygge", the price may mean less, but if you intend to use the stove a lot, Brugsen in Gedser is far from the cheapest place to buy firewood or briquettes. "Jem og Fix" in the Guldborgsund center in Nykøbing Falster has so far been the cheapest.
Outside, to the right of the terrace, there is a bucket into which ashes from the stove can be put to avoid the risk of fire from embers that may still be in the ashes. When you are certain there are no more embers in the ashes, the ashes are poured into a bag and placed in the residual waste container.
It is rather messy to light a fire in a stove with e.g. newsprint. Save yourself the trouble and buy kindling bags or kindling blocks instead. If you don't have much experience in lighting, try to find a video on YouTube. There are several videos showing how to do it.
